Prior telecom industry experience is required The Sr. Essbase Consultant will be required to architect the enterprise Essbase platform, analyze pros and cons of the various architecture decisions and make/implement the Essbase recommendation. Must have very strong Essbase design, development, implementation, administration, performance tuning skills as well as hands-on experience with the full range of Essbase tools. * Proficiency and experience in Hyperion Essbase, Web Analysis, Integration Services, BI +, OBIEE (Siebel Analytics), Smart view and Spreadsheet Add-In, in both Windows and UNIX environments. * Substantial experience in creating, maintaining, and supporting all application objects including outlines, calculation scripts, rules files for dimension building and data loading, creation and optimization of transparent partitions, and security objects through Essbase Administrative Services (EAS), MaxL, MDX queries, and ESSCMDs. * Experience designing and managing Essbase applications and databases, Essbase architecture, data and dimension loading, Calc Scripts, MaxL, MDX Querying, Report Scripting, Performance tuning, thorough understanding of Essbase data mining framework. * Proficiency as Essbase Administrator in maintaining Essbase, managing database settings, optimizations, thorough understanding of ASO and BSO cube architecture, Essbase Cache settings, optimizing calculations, attributes, storage security, optimizing reports. * Strong experience as a Hyperion Essbase Administrator with Security Setup and Management: User Management, User roles, Shared Services setup, assigning server and application access, database calculation, filtering, assignment of application access types. * Applied in-depth understanding of STAR and SNOWFLAKE SCHEMA modeling techniques to develop optimized OLAP models and meta-outlines using relational and other database sources. * Knowledge and experience in Automation using batch scripts, optimization of report queries in Microsoft Excel, creating ad-hoc reports for decision makers using Smart View and other applications. * Thorough understanding of multidimensional and relational database architecture and their applications for effective planning, budgeting, strategizing and forecasting procedures. Experience in OBIEE+ suite for advanced reporting, analysis, ad-hoc querying, enterprise and financial reporting and dashboard design. * Laptop must have Windows XP Professional OS.
