Sr. PL/SQL Developer About Servicer and Investor Reporting (SIR): Servicer and Investor Reporting (SIR) Phase 1 is a large-scale, high-performance transaction mortgage and loan processing system and is used to support several Trillion dollars in volume. The application is developed using proven technologies, including PL/SQL, ORACLE, Ab Initio and Java in complex combinations following established and proven methodologies and practices for the development of large scale technology systems. SIR recently replaced the legacy platform for processing mortgages in Fannie Mae's cash business line and did it with a lot of success. The project team delivered this work in a manner that is transparent to Fannie Mae's customers, while adhering to aggressive timelines and goals to assure a competitive advantage in the marketplace. The group is currently dedicated to fixing any defects that come out of production as well as supporting enhancements and designing and implementing releases to support new loan servicing and modification programs to be offered by Fannie Mae in the near future. About the Team: The Financial Services (FS) team is responsible for analyzing, designing, developing and providing Test and Production support for business functionality that enables Fannie Mae to service loans. In developing and supporting FS functionality, FS team members work closely with members of other Servicer and Investor Reporting functional development teams, supporting teams such as Architecture, Database Management and Operation, and the Test, Requirements and Business teams. Responsibilities: ? Design & development of software using primarily PL/SQL batch processing. ? Design & document processes and procedures for application deployment. ? Follow existing processes and procedures for application deployment. ? Work with various teams to determine software requirements. ? Provide metrics and project planning updates for the development effort. ? Provide technical expertise and lead junior developers as required. ? Be on a 24x7 rotation to provide tier-3 application support Qualifications: Must-Have Skills: ? Six or more years experience developing and maintaining PL/SQL code. PL/SQL Development experience of at least 3 years must be within the most recent three year period. ? Expertise in Application Development with knowledge of full software development life cycle. ? Understanding of Database deployment architectures. ? Understanding of change management and automation/repeatability. ? Skills should include working with tools such as Ant, Rational ClearCase, ClearQuest. ? Demonstrated experience in working through production environment deployments. ? Strong knowledge and use of development, methodologies, standards and procedures. ? Excellent written and verbal communications skills. ? Excellent teaming and leadership skills. Nice to have Skills: ? Ability to multi-task and provide expertise for multiple development teams across concurrent project tasks. ? Ability to provide technical expertise to junior team members and consult with other application developers to tune and performance test new and existing code base. ?
