*Job Description:*
(What will the contractor do on that project?)
? Represent ATT as their professional technical liaison for external AT&T
MHO client
? Serve as technical system administrator, accountable for restoration and
trouble-shooting outage events and faults
? Interface with external vendors as primary contact for hardware and
software fault analysis and resolution
? Perform Change / MACD (Move/Add/Change/Delete) work while adhering to
AT&T’s change control policy
? Adhere to fault management ticketing guidelines for coding and
documentation
? Conduct root cause analysis on outage events and participate in post
outage reviews
? Provide assistance / mentoring support for Tier 2 associates, as needed.
? Respond to and resolve all calls received within established time frames
or escalate to management for assistance.
? Participate in on-call 7x24 support rotation for knowledge expertise
(UNIX) and Data Center Remote Hands.
-This is a production operations environment that requires 24 x 7 support
coverage. Position is required to work normal business hours
(8 AM - 5 PM, Monday – Friday) on site, at the customer’s location in
Cambridge, MA. In addition, this position will be required to provide
on-call TAM support for after hours and weekends, as needed.
-Candidate will need to be flexible, as on call shifts are assigned on a
rotational basis across other members of the TAM Team.
-On-site members of this Deal Team will also be required to provide after
hours/weekend remote hands support at the client’s data center in Cambridge,
MA based on a rotational schedule.
? Review new technologies and make recommendation for adoption
implementation.
? Develop and maintain security policies on UNIX servers.
? Install, configure, and support UNIX services including: system
performance analysis and tuning, firmware version control, space management,
configuration management, critical security patch deployment, and adherence
to best practices for data recovery and restoration.

*Required Education:* 4 year IT or Computer Science Degree or equivalent job
experience/technical certifications.
*Technical Skills Required:*
? Ability to design, configure, and troubleshoot the management of UNIX
Servers
? Minimum 5+ years experience in UNIX server administration managing large
numbers of servers across multiple Unix OS platforms
? Experience in HP-UX (OS 11.11, 11.23, 11.31), Service Guard, HP Business
Copy (BCV), Sun Solaris (5.8, 5.9, 5.10), Sun Disk Suite (Metasets), Linux
Redhat Enterprise, Veritas (Clustering, Volume Manager, File System), HP
Logical Volume Manager
? In-depth knowledge skills of UNIX servers security
? Install, configure, and support UNIX services including: system
performance analysis and tuning, firmware version control, space management,
configuration management, critical security patch deployment, and adherence
to best practices for data recovery and restoration
? 5+ years of hardware diagnostics and troubleshooting skills (SUN, Netra,
240, 480, Sun Fire 6500, Dell, HP (RX2600, RP4400, 4640 9000L, 9000N)
Superdome, DL 300,500) experience is a plus)
? 3+ years network experience. Ability to configure and troubleshoot TCP/IP
based networks using standard tools. Candidate needs a solid understanding
of LAN/WAN and network security (firewall) technologies
? Storage skills specializing in XP1024, Netapp, an EVA platforms are a plus
? Experience in design, build out, deployment, and capacity planning of UNIX
based applications/architectures
? Experience with automating system administration tasks through scripting
with Perl or KSH
? VMware Experience
? Strong skills in SSH, SUDO
? Familiarity with Oracle, Lotus Domino/Notes, Avocent IP Based KVM, SQL
Server 2000/2005, Remedy, NetBackup

? Skilled at communicating technical information to non-technical clients

? Must be able to demonstrate strong written skills with the ability to
document technical issues clearly
? Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects, occasionally under
pressure.
? Ability to work effectively with client, other departments, ATT partners,
and vendors implementing software, new tools, or similar.
? Project Management skills are a plus

*Position Responsibilities – Summary:*
Seeking a professional self-motivated Senior Systems Administrator to
provide service for UNIX (Solaris/HPUX/LINUX) servers. This includes
requirement analysis, researching solutions, development, documentation,
deployment, maintenance, upgrades and administration of AT&T managed servers
and services. This position will provide technical training and support for
other members of the team and operations staff and serve as technical
liaison for the department to provide services and interface with clients
and vendors. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and
autonomously presenting a professional and technically competent image to
our customer as our ATT representative.
