Position: *RACF Sys Administrator*

Job Description:

Under limited supervision, analyzes, coordinates, develops and documents the
architecture for using *IBM's RACF* on a mainframe to *authenticate Users
and authorize their access* to resources on the mainframe. Develop and
document policies, standards and procedures for implementation and
maintenance of the architecture in coordination with Information Security
Officer.

*Need to have at least 4 years of continuous RACF experience. *

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and document administrative procedures for maintenance of User Ids
on the mainframe.

• Develop and document administrative procedures for maintenance of
transactions on the mainframe.

• Develop and document administrative procedures for generating various RACF
reports on the mainframe.

• Review RACF Report Writer Violation Report daily and report any abnormal
violation to IT management and Information Security Officer for
investigation.

• Review DSMON report weekly and report to IT Infrastructure Manager with
action desired to correct deficiencies.

• Review RACF Remote Sharing Facility (RRSF) report weekly for problems and
take corrective action if necessary.

• Develop and document administrative procedures TSO user roles on the
mainframe.

• Develop and document administrative procedures for file transfer products
on the mainframe.

• Develop and document administrative policies and procedures for RACF
special attributes, such as System Special, Operator and Auditor.

• Develop and document appropriate RACF access rights for RACF
Administrator.

• Develop, document and maintain all RACF policies and procedures for RACF
security on the mainframe.

• Report inappropriate use of system or other incidents to IT Management and
Information Security Officer.

• Perform audit of RACF Groups and provide structure to RACF Administrator.

• Develop and document RACF Users roles on the mainframe.

• Develop and document RACF Classes on the mainframe.

• Develop and document RACF Groups on the mainframe.

• Develop and document administrative procedures for maintaining access to
data sets on the mainframe.

• Develop and/or provide training to RACF Administrators.

• Perform software maintenance for RACF and associated products.

• Document all access points to mainframe and recommend appropriate control
mechanisms.

• Develop, document an implement role-based security within RACF.
