The person must have strong UML skill and experience* We are seeking a Business Analyst (Contract Position) who will work collaboratively and independently with the client, on site, to identify and facilitate solutions to the client specific business needs and work collaboratively with the development team to help transform those business needs into specifications. Required • Elicit requirements through interviews, workshops, document review and business analysis • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs • Collaborate with software development team and subject matter experts to establish technical vision, support definition of use cases and functional requirements, and analyze usability and performance needs • Facilitate business process improvement workshops and meetings, as well as policy and procedure development activities • Documentation of solution vision, usage scenarios and business requirements • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a staff, executives, managers, and subject matter experts • Ability to work independently and multi-task Bonus Skills • Experience with local governments, municipalities and environmental regulatory agencies. • Experience with iterative software development methodologies Demonstrated experience with UML preferred.
