Software Quality Interface, IT policies, procedures, and processes. Writes test cases, unit tests Performs exploratory testing Understands and implements RDBMS data modeling concepts and has expertise in a client/server environment (TOAD, SQL*Plus, etc.). Writes structured, maintainable and optimized code. Uses libraries developed by Priority Health when applicable, recommends and/or creates new shared libraries and/or contributes to it when necessary. Is comfortable working in Windows, UNIX, and Linux environments Implements source control concepts and adheres to source control standards. May be required to learn and share new languages or other technologies. Helps establish a technical solutions strategy that is integrated with the overall corporation and makes sure all solutions fit into it. Delegates tasks when appropriate, and given opportunity.* * *Skills*: *Microsoft Excel *Microsoft Project *Microsoft Outlook *Additional Skills:* A minimum of eight years of software development experience that is relevant to the application development team. Must possess an understanding of software engineering principles, and be able to articulate compelling arguments for and against standards, roles, and processes. Expected to have an area of expertise within software engineering for which he/she contributes to App. Dev. team. Must possess a strong knowledge of two or more relevant technologies (e.g. SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Reports, UNIX, Java, Perl, C++, C#, Microsoft .Net Platform and RDBMS) Ability to make quality, independent decisions. Analytical thinker Time management and organizational skills Ability to work effectively and efficiently on multiple requests Ability to speak English well enough to be understood by clients, co-workers and the public.
