Oracle Application Database Administrator (DBA) Your responsibilities will include the following: · Working with application development staff to develop database architectures, coding standards, and quality assurance policies and procedures · Assessing and developing long-term strategic goals for non- production application databases · Creating models for new database development or changes to existing ones · Responding to and resolving database access and performance issues · Developing, implementing and maintaining change-control processes for modifications to production databases · Conducting research and making recommendations on database products, services, protocols and standards · Applying system administration and troubleshooting · Seeing to query optimization and performance tuning Requirements You have the following qualifications: · Degree or diploma in computer science · At least four years’ experience as an Oracle Applications DBA · Good understanding of 11i architecture · Strong experience in database performance tuning and SQL tuning · Hands-on experience in PL/SQL programming · Experience with tools such Oracle ADI, workflow builder and discoverer · Preferably experience with R12 upgrade or implementation · Ability to conduct research into database issues, standards and products · Prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment · Strong written and verbal communication skills · Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities · Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment Thank you, DBA FYI Center http://dba.fyicenter.com/ -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "ORACLE DWH DBA" group.
