Data Base Administrator (DBA) Responsibilities: · Provide DBA support for relational Oracle databases in Windows and Unix environment (Solaris preferred). · Provide DBA support for SQL Server databases environment. · Create, maintain, and support Oracle architectural environment. · Physical database design. · Administration of production objects in change control environment. · Development of proactive processes for monitoring capacity and performance. Required Technical Skills (5-7 years experience required) · Experience as Senior Oracle DBA managing large 8i, 9i and 10g databases. · Previous experience managing Oracle databases within Veritas Clustered environment. · Very strong understanding of database concepts, design, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. · Working knowledge of Hot Standby/Data Guard, Advanced Replication, and Real Application Cluster (RAC). · Solid experience in the transition of logical data models to physical data models. · Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2000, 2005 and 2008. · Experience with backup and restore design and implementation. · Prior experience in disaster recovery exercises. · Very strong Unix, PL/SQL and SQL scripting skill. · Experience using data modeling tools. · Excellent personal communication, leadership and organizational skills · Experience with Oracle 11g preferable. · Experience with Red Prairie Warehouse Management System is a plus. Education · Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related discipline. · Oracle Certification is a plus.
