Position : ColdFusion Developer with Crystal Objects experience Location : DC. Only Local
Duration : 1+ year Rate is $50/hr. Job Description: One of my clients in DC is looking for an experienced Cold Fusion and Oracle application developer to join its Systems Team. This position is a 12+ month project. This position is to support ongoing needs for development and maintenance of its management information systems, which is used by all levels of our client's staff, for planning, monitoring and tracking it's portfolio of activities. This candidate will report to the Team Leader of the team and become the point person for all Cold Fusion applications at our client. Duties and Accountabilities: o Gather and write business and functional requirements, working closely with the business users. Prepare a project plan to implement the requirements o Develop enhancements to existing applications or create new applications. This includes writing and updating Cold Fusion, Oracle, Crystal Objects reports, Crystal Object pages, SQL Server, HTML, CSS and JavaScript code o Deploy and test these enhancements in the QA server. Work with the end users to test these enhancements. After successful User Acceptance Testing, move the code to the production. Provide technical support and recommendation to other units and departments across the institute o Manage the overall integration of in house administrative application/databases with existing institutional applications like SAP, Crystal Reports, Single Sign On, etc o Implement information security requirements in order to prevent malicious attacks using SQL injection, Cross Site Scripting, etc o Create database tables, views and procedures as needed in Oracle and SQL Server o Write technical documentation so that all changes are properly tracked o Liaise with other client's groups to ensure that necessary IT support and security clearances are received o Support the Certificate Generation utility which is developed in Visual Basic. This is integrated with the Cold Fusion application to electronically generate course/ activity completion certificates o Support the Web application for automated client course completion certificates with electronic signatures which is built in Visual Basic o Ensure that the applications run smoothly as expected. Ensure that the user reported bugs are addressed in timely manner o Ensure that the end-users receive timely technical support.
