1.3 Objectives



Client seeks two contract developers to temporarily supplement existing
staff.  Five years of experience in VB.Net, Oracle Development Tools, SQL
Server, and ASP.Net is required.  Experience with Montana’s state-wide
licensing and permitting processes, warehouse management systems, property
appraisal and valuation systems, and SABHRS is also required.
Client-specific experience is preferred.  As a staff augmentation, the
candidate could develop for and/or support a number of applications,
including both the department’s core tax processing systems and supporting
peripheral systems.




Roles and Responsibilities Sponsoring Company Staff, Roles and

·         Develop and maintain code for customized programs within
established timeframes.

·         Apply current technology methods and procedures to modify and
develop applications.

·         Perform unit tests on code modifications.

·         Maintain functional and technical documentation.

·         Ensure timely and effective customer service and follow-up.

·         Solicit input and feedback from department personnel to determine
application needs.

·         Strictly adhere to and enforce all Enterprise and department
computing policies.

·         Ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data is
maintained.

·         Define and write program specifications and test plans.

·         Provide support in training department personnel.

·         Mentor team members, users, and contacts on supported
applications.  Ensure knowledge transfer of developed applications to DOR IT
staff members

·         Resolve complex programming problems.

·         Direct the research, planning, design, and implementation of new
technologies.

·         Take ownership of, and manage, complex computer application
projects end to end.
