Data modeling experience is a plus. Summary: Application developer experienced with SQL programming, Unix shell scripting, and Essbase database design and development. Roles: Develop Unix application to load financial data into a Sybase database, and apply business rules to calculate financial metrics. Work with the Sybase DBA to design and update the data model to support the data cleansing and matching processes. Develop automated SQL processing using Unix shell scripts to perform database updates. Develop Essbase application to calculate and analyze summarized financial metrics. Develop data extraction and interfaces from relational databases to Essbase applications. Develop Essbase databases to support calculation of financial metrics using data from databases, files, and Excel templates. Develop Essbase rule files for dimension updates and data loading. Develop Essbase calc scripts to apply business rules and update accounts. Develop Excel templates to support data entry. Develop automated dimension build and data load processes using ESSCMD, MaxL, and Unix shell scripts. Technical Skills: • Experienced developing SQL for Sybase IQ 12 to perform data load, update, and extract. • Experienced using Sybase Central and Interactive SQL. • Experienced developing Unix shell (ksh) scripts on Solaris and HP-UX. • Experienced developing Essbase 7 applications and databases on HP-UX. • Strong experience using Essbase Administration Services. • Strong experience developing Essbase calc scripts and member formulas to perform complex calculations. • Strong experience using Essbase Excel Add-in. • Experienced developing ESSCMD and MaxL command scripts. • Experienced developing FTP scripts for data transfer.
