Location: Irving, TX Duration: 3-6 Months *HIGHLY PREFER LOCALS* Senior Java/J2EE Software Engineer. Requires a strong Java Back-End Developer proficient in Core Java, web services, with database integration skills. This position requires 4 to 6+ years hands-on Java/J2EE software development experience (front-end and back-end) in a UNIX/Linux environment. Must have a strong foundation in Object Oriented Design techniques and experience in JDK 1.5+, JUnit, and JSP/Servlets. Requires experience working with application servers and Web technology knowledge (HTTP, HTML, SOAP, WSDL, JAXWS). Requires experience with frameworks such as Spring and Struts. Requires knowledge of TCP/IP and related protocols. Must be experienced with building and maintaining scalable and distributed systems. Strongly prefer experience with Eclipse, Hibernate, SQL, Oracle, DB2, and Version Control Software such as SVN, CVS, etc. Requires excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to deliver solutions under tight deadlines. Prefer experience with Test Driven Development, JUnit, and Flex. This Java/J2EE Software Engineer will be responsible for developing applications written in Java/J2EE technologies. Will either focus on the "back-end" or work on support tickets with a mixture of front-end and back-end.
