Please reply to anan...@infotechvalley.com TITLE: COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER LOCATION: NYC, NY DURATION: 6 MONTHS *Main Duties* * * Under direction from the Head of IT and Operations Communications: § Develop, implement, maintain and improve strategic communication initiatives and programs across/within the BCM, Corporate Real Estate Services, Operations, Sourcing and Technology divisions § Provide comprehensive communications support to several functional heads and their respective COOs. Develop a clear understanding of each function and strong relationship with the respective managers § Write and publish consistent, high-quality employee communications (researching and writing articles, coordinating/editing photography/images etc) § Maintain and optimize existing internal communication channels and tools. Propose and implement new communications initiatives and tools § Plan and implement employee programs and manage events (townhalls, networking events, senior management meetings, etc) § Monitor the effectiveness of the communications processes and channels § Interface with partner teams such as Corporate Communications, Media Relations, A/V, Human Resources, etc. * * *Person Requirements* § BA/BS in English, Communications or related fields § Internal, corporate or executive communications § Proven excellence in writing announcements, articles and key messaging for senior staff (writing samples will be requested) § Hard working, committed self starter with strong initiative and ability to successfully progress projects with minimal hand holding § Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment and manage conflicting demands and deadlines § Ability to analyze and simplify complex information to develop messages for specific audiences § Ability to “manage up” and chase senior managers for input and approval § Experience in adapting tone and message content according to target audience § Experience in handling sensitive and/or highly confidential information, maintaining highest level of confidentiality § Ability to work well within a team structure § Experience with web publishing, SharePoint, MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) § Global, large scale event planning experience Preferred experience/skills: § MA Corporate Communications, Journalism, Technical Communications § Experience in financial / professional services § Project management skills and experience § Ability to think globally - experience interacting with a culturally diverse employee base § Intranet design (HTML) and Photoshop experience Looking forward to add value by mutually winning possibilities.
