*Title: Java Developer (5 positions) Contract Length: 6+ months Location: Detroit, MI Rate Range: $35.00* Responsibilities Assist architect(s) in architecting/designing major components and subsystems Design and develop application features / components, modules and subsystems Design and develop database components and test cases Assist architect and project manager in defining and estimating project tasks Collaborate with and mentor other developers Technology – Broad technical competency with expertise in modern architectures and paradigms; web architectures, SOA principles and patterns Methodology – Solid experience in full SDLC with emphasis on Agile methodologies. Must be a competent modeler, proficient with UML. Must be proficient with design patterns and have the ability to apply them. Qualifications BS in computer science or other degree with demonstrated experience; strong computer science fundamentals, object oriented programming, data structures and algorithms 5+ years experience with multiple full life SDLC projects, using Agile methodologies 3+ years Java programming; experience with BPM tools, particularly IBM/Lombardi TeamWorks strongly preferred; XML/XSD, XHTML/JavaScript Hands on experience with relational databases like Oracle, SQL Server, SQL Relevant certifications (e.g. SCJP) This work is all done on JAVA platforms and deep experience with modeling and XML/XSD, XHTML/JavaScript is required. Candidate must have multiple large project experience, working on enterprise applications with similar tools. The applications have heavy reporting features, are complex and do pull data from the data warehouse so the candidates must also have SQL scripting experience.
