We are seeking an experienced data architect / analyst with at least 10
years of large data warehouse project experience.    Should be able to
function independently as a data modeler / data analyst and must be able to

analyze data from a variety of sources systems and create a unified view of
data for reporting and analysis.  This position is responsible for
activities spanning the Information Management Lifecycle from assessing

requirements, creation of target data models, data acquisition, cleanse,
transform, classify, storage, distribution(presentation), security and
archiving.



Roles and Responsibilities:



     Analyze and integrate information from disparate systems to create a
cohesive, comprehensive 3NF data model / data marts.

     Leads the data acquisition strategy, works closely with Lead
Developers to create mapping specifications / transformation / business
rules / exception handling process.

     Facilitates cross-functional agreement on key enterprise attribute
meanings, hierarchies, and consumption patterns.

     Works in a Matrix environment, must work collaboratively with business
process owners, technical staff and Management.

     Ability to facilitate discussions with key stakeholders on the value
of Analytics –vs-  Reporting.

     Strong facilitation skills to engage subject matter experts to review
Data/Analytical requirements and conduct data modeling design reviews with
cross functional project teams

     Ability to capture Business Metadata for future reuse in the Presentation
layer

     Ability to apply Agile BI project methodology to drive implementation
and deliver scope that supports key business requirements.



*Required Skills:*



     Knowledge and experience in data warehouse design, development and
implementation utilizing Agile BI techniques.

     Strong SQL skills

     Experienced in creating Conceptual and Logical Data Models utilizing
layered data architecture techniques.

     Must have experience with ERWIN

     Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

     Must have working knowledge of Informatica V8.x, Business Objects XI

R3 and DB2 LUW all deployed on AIX.

     Experience in the following RDBMS environments: Oracle/Unix, Adabase,
MS SQL Server/NT

     Excellent communication skills with the ability to facilitate
interaction between the business and IT.



Preferred skills / experience:



     Commitment to team-work and establishing strong business
relationships.

     Experience using Balanced Insight Consensus tool

     Experience deploying OLAP solutions.

     Strong attention to detail.

     Deliverable-oriented.

     Excellent time management skills.
