Description of the Responsibilities
The project involves the following activities which will be carried out in a
phased manner:
(i) Carrying out an Evaluation and Recommendation (through a Proof Of
Concept) of Data Warehousing Appliances - mainly ORACLE Exadata and
Teradata
(ii) Subsequent migration activities from the current data warehousing
platform
We are looking at a Technical Conultant whose main responsibility will be do
the POC on Oracle* Exadata* and give recommendations with comparision to
Teradata
(i) Providing overall Technical guidance to the Team carrying out the PoC
(ii)Primary Responsibility of the ETL and Data Modeling areas
(ii) Interacting with the client's IT Teams as required
Minimum Requirements
10-12 years of IT experience with Minimum of 6 years of BI/DWH project
experience with at least one year each on ORACLE and Teradata Platforms.
- ETL Architecture & Design experience on the ORACLE and Teradata platforms
- Data Modeling on both the platforms
- Should have worked with Teratata utilities extensively
Knowledge of the Exadata platform will be a *significant* added advantage
Complementary knowledge of any BI/ETL Tool will also be prefferred
