Description :* Quality Assurance Lead Location: NY *Qualification Requirements:* * * *Minimum:* * * - Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or Software Engineering or relevant experience - Demonstrated knowledge of coding and basic design sensitivity - Demonstrated knowledge of relational database schema design, and usage - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that includes an aggressive release schedule - Strong technical and debugging skills - Good written and verbal communication skills and aptitude for cross group collaboration - Demonstrated experience in core engineering and test expertise across a variety of test disciplines such as test design, test automation and performance testing. A passion for product quality and software testing is a must. - Self-motivated, proactive, and possess the demonstrated ability to come up-to-speed quickly in a new technical domain - Demonstrated experience delivering results through collaboration across disciplines, feature teams, and partners - Strong test design skills to take abstract functionality and baseline and measure their improvements - Exceptional test aptitude and expertise in formal and informal testing techniques as well as quality measurement techniques. - Strong analytical skills and confident data-driven decision making skills are critical - Demonstrated ability to leverage existing tools and metrics to increase product quality and engineering efficiency at a rapid pace - Excellent communication skills - Strong design, coding and debugging skills in C# - Knowledge of statistics or a numerical background a plus - Minimum 2 years test leadership experience in fast paced diverse technology environments - Experience managing a Vendor Test Team and multiple simultaneous workstreams · Experience using open source test tools such as Selenium · Experience setting up and managing test lab and server environments using a VMWare virtual lab · Experience using Microsoft Team Foundation Server 2010 * * *Preferred:* * * - 5-8 years test leadership experience - Prior experience leading a vendor test team for a fortune 500 company Experience in the online learning industry *Key Relationships: *Owns definition and execution of test strategy, including prioritization & delivery of iLearn program requests for QA services. Interfaces with QA, program, development and infrastructure teams to communicate status, and to troubleshoot problems in testing, tools and environments. Interfaces with third party vendor(s) as needed to resolve issues impacting delivery of test services. Leads manual and automated test effort for iLearn program. Assists in automation of test environment setup routines, test data setup and maintenance routines, and environment and results maintenance. Prepares regular status reports for Quality Assurance Director, as well as iLearn project team.
