Job Title: Data Center Facilities Lead / HCL location: New Jersey, NJ Reports To: Datacenter Manager Duration: 4 months contract to hire.. Bill rate: 35-37/hr. / but don’t stop a right candidate because of rate factor. Summary Operate, monitor, measure, and attain Data Centers Facility Commitments, and maintain facility appearance and integrity Also, responsible for providing assistance to customers and projects, as such Situations arise. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES x •Monitor and Operate Data Centers critical functions and facilities to meet or Exceed Service Levels • Measure and record vital statistics and produce appropriate reports including Weekly, monthly or any other management reports as and when required • Record and maintain accurate incident and change records and logs • Respond physically to trouble situations within the local facility and conduct Troubleshooting (including of telecom circuits) as may be required • Find creative ways to keep operation costs to a minimum. • Work to improve efficiency and implement new data center strategies. • Ensure the ongoing operation of the data center. • Ensure that contractors are delivering quality services and that all customer demands are being met • Conduct routine walkthroughs of local facility, correcting both appearance and Functional imperfections • Provide “Remote Hands” assistance, as requested by customers • Chaperone vendors and guests, as may become necessary • Provide hospitable and enthusiastic assistance to customers and prospects, whether on phone or on premises. • Monitor, correct, and report observed infractions of security policies and procedures. • Communicate regularly with peer Technicians in other Team facilities regarding operational situations and health • Contribute suggestions for improvements in the quality, integrity, and efficiency of operations regularly Requirements: 1.At least 6-8 years of experience out of which 3-4 years as a facilities lead for a Data Center 2.Previous management and project management experience for mission critical Facility 3.Undergraduate degree in an appropriate technical field or equivalent experience. 4. A very good understanding of electrical and mechanical and HVAC systems in a Data Center environment 5. Operations experience in working in a 24*7 mission critical facility 6. Very good understanding of structured cabling standards, servers and Backups 7.
