Job Title: Lead DW/ETL Developer Location: Charlotte,NC Duration: 6 months Contract Job Purpose/ Description: • Enterprise Data Warehouse: Multi Terabyte data warehousing experience. Understanding the design considerations for 3NF,Dimensional model and Star schemas and its relationships. Understanding the concept of data rollups/aggregation, capacity planning, data standardization, slowly changing dimensions, and data security. • Siebel OLAP: Working knowledge of the Siebel Data Warehouse: Key generation, WIDS, Slowly changing dimensions, basic table sources, etc. Concrete familiarity with OLTP-to-OLAP. Proven experience with EIM Data Loads. • IBM Informatica Server 8.0.1 and up with Multiple project experience in DataStage. Ability to communicate design considerations using this tool. Practical experience in loading data, troubleshooting DS jobs, tuning DS job, etc. • Informatica (version 7.1 and up)responsible for delivery of the robust ETL code, including software installation/configuration, object migration and performance tuning/optimization. • Teradata or Oracle Multi-terabyte data experience, demonstrates the basic ability/understanding to design data structures, performance tune data loads and ability to read/write BTEQ, PL/SQL. • UNIX: Proven experience with reading and writing Shell Scripts (ksh). Ability to navigate, edit/find files, check disk space and transfer files. Knowledge of performance monitoring tools in the UNIX environment. • Communication skills: Must have the ability to communicate effectively with business and technical users in both an oral and written manner. Must also be able to demonstrate ability to troubleshoot technology and business problems. Provide insight based on previous experience. Must work well independently and in a team environment • Experience with TERADATA a BIG PLUS. • Experience with Informatica a BIG PLUS.
