Position: Sr. IT Storage Engineer / Lead Expert
Duration: 1+ Years
Location: Charlotte, NC
Description:
Senior IT Storage Engineer / Lead Expert - The candidate applying for this
position should have senior to expert level knowledge of the HDS storage
platforms and McData Directors and possess a high level of initiative
without need for significant direction. Additionally, the candidate needs to
be adept at creating technical documentation and possess exceptional
troubleshooting skills.
Technical areas:
. SAN concepts (zoning, LUN masking, replication, general best practices)
. EFCM/DCFM
. HiCommand Suite (HDvM, HTSM, HTnM)
. Replication (HUR, TC, COW, SI, HAM)
. Day-to-day tasks on subsystems and fabrics (create custom or DP volumes,
storage allocation, check capacity and processor utilization, set up and
monitor HTSM migrations, zoning, alerts)
. Experience with environment using HUR for Open Systems It would be a big
plus to have NetApp NAS background.
Required education/experience:
. BS / MS or technical institute degree / certificate in Computer Science or
the equivalent combination of education, technical designations and work
experience.
. More than 7 years of related experience in IT functions.
. Excellent knowledge of IT engineering and its role in supporting business
applications.
. Serves as point of escalation for complex issues.
. Responsible for developing and executing project plans, as well as
coordinating groups of IT staff.
Candidate has a very good knowledge of SAN and NAS
