We are seeking a senior level Java developer for a long-term contract opportunity. Java developer needs to be strong on the server-side and middle-tier development. Java Developer will be creating robust, high- volume production applications, and will be developing services for cutting edge PDAs. Technical Requirements: * 5+ years of experience in Java based data driven Web application development * At least 1 year experience with Java 1.6 server side technology (Strong OO skills) * Solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design. * Strong experience with multi-threaded and highly scalable server- side development * Deep understand of SOA and web service concepts using REST * Expertise in writing server side code for Web Services * Solid understanding of web data formats (xml, json) * Understanding of web optimization techniques (server/client side caching, compression, etc) * Knowledge of Java Server Frameworks (Spring 3.0 / Spring MVC) * Knowledge of Java Persistence Frameworks (Hibernate) * Hands-on experience with UNIX, along with some specific Linux experience * Experience with Tomcat or JBoss Web Application Servers * Background in Security and Encryption (RSA, MD5, etc) a big plus * Coding skills in Javascript, SQL, and knowledge of HTTP.
