This is a backend development position, so the candidate must also have a
very strong background with SQL.
Experience with WCF and Rest is also very important along with messaging
experience with XML, XSD and Web services. nHibernate and Linq have also
been brought up in interviews that have already taken place.

Here is the job description:
*Senior Software Developer* is a lead system/application development role
with Platform Services development team.
Responsibilities:
1. Work with Product Management to analyze and fully understand
business requirements,
2. Develop functional specifications/design documents to describe
how to implement the business requirements,
a. Data Model
b. Object Model (interfaces, classes and services)
c. Interaction/Flow diagrams
3. Implement the design based on the functional
specifications/design documents using:
a. Microsoft .NET framework v4.0, C# language
b. Visual Studio 2010,
c. SQL Server 2005 and 2008,
d. nHibernate and Linq,
e. Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) and REST services
f. XML, XSD, XSLT and JSON
g. WebSphere MQ (MQSeries)
4. Work with members of Product Development team to:
a. Unit test the new code,
b. Work with PM and QA team to run regression/integration tests,
c. Work with PM to notify all interested teams about release
schedule,
d. Partner with release engineering team to package and deploy
the fix
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Competency and Experience with:
Developing Smart Client applications with Microsoft .NET
3.5, .NET 4.0 and C#
Developing scalable and high performance components and
shared business services using XML, XSD, web services and messaging (IBM
WebSphere MQ or other major messaging technologies)
Database programming with SQL Server 2005, 2008 and/or
other major relational databases
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
BS in Computer Science or related discipline
5-7 years’ experience in related position
