Job Title: Windows Administrator Location: Lawrenceville, New Jersey Duration:6+ Months contract with extensions Job Description: Candidate should have experience in installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of Windows 2003/2008 systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. Ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational security, SLA and values. Basic Functions: - Provide Microsoft Windows non-production server support resolve any issues related to operations data processing. - Utilize ticketing system for incident reporting. - Provide Microsoft Windows OS support including installations, provisioning, troubleshooting and decommissioning. - Work with other implementation teams to coordinate and troubleshoot any implementation issues. - Perform operation system implementations to production specification - Provide implementation support. - Participate in Exchange 2003 administration - Participate in Active Directory administration, including creation of Group Policy and Scripts - Support Microsoft technologies such as networking, DNS, domains and trusts, capacity planning and performance monitoring. - Participate in Change Control process to ensure product standardization and adherence to production policies and procedures. - To ensure client and interdepartmental satisfaction with services provided by Windows team. - Ensure complete and accurate documentation of production environment. - Participate in on-call rotation for after hours support. Additional Experience with the following Applications a Huge Plus: 1. Siebel Administration 2. Exchange Server (Required) 3. MS SQL Server 4. Symantec Netbackup 5. Websense SPAM Server 6. Blackberry Enterprise Server 7. WSUS Server 8. Windows 2008 9. HP Servers KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: 1. Systems Administration/System Engineer certification in Microsoft. 2. Four to six years system administration experience.
