This is a senior level, experienced DBA position. Person will be part of the team that supports all DOT databases and will be expected to provide resolution to trouble tickets, satisfy ad-hoc requests and perform database software upgrades and general bug resolution/troubleshooting. General Qualifications: · Strong written and verbal communication skills · Ability to work individually or within a team environment · Ability to take direction, constructive criticism and work to specified deadlines · Provide technical expertise, direction and leadership to other team members · Perform research and analysis for problem resolution · Share on call support 7 x 24 for DOT RMV IDMS databases · Sole responsibility for 7 x 24 support for DOR RMV Oracle databases *Specific Technical Qualifications* Required ORACLE skills: · Expert level knowledge and experience with Oracle RAC on Windows servers with ASM for Oracle 10g and above (At least three years Oracle experience) · Knowledge of Oracle database architecture (components and processes of the database) for Oracle 10g and above (At least three years Oracle experience) · Knowledge of and experience with Oracle backup and recovery techniques using Oracle RMAN · Knowledge of data modeling and database design for OLTP applications using modeling tools (Erwin or Oracle designer, etc.) · Advanced SQL skills · Knowledge of and experience with PL\SQL programming (at least three years experience) · Ability to perform database and SQL performance analysis and to make tuning changes Desirable ORACLE skills: · Data warehousing design skills · Data warehouse ETL skills · Knowledge of developing with MS.NET · Experience with mainframe (Z/OS) data and interfaces Required IDMS skills: · Minimum four years experience in business systems development utilizing IDMS in conjunction with IBM Assembler, CICS, CULPRIT, DML, DMLO, OLQ, COBOL, MVS · Minimum four years prior experience with migrations, unload/reloads, restructuring, and performance/tuning · Demonstrated experience using IBM MVS Job Control Language (JCL) and Utilities · Demonstrated experience using all IDMS batch and on-line utilities · Demonstrated troubleshooting skills used in analyzing dumps to determine root cause of batch and on-line abends · Advanced working knowledge of IDMS DB/DC control structures, operational philosophy, nomenclature and semantics · Good experience with database backup and recovery methods in a production environment · Good working knowledge of z/OS and MVS operating systems · Solid experience database navigation techniques · Must have solid understanding of network database design concepts; relational design concepts a plus Desirable IDMS skills: · Experience coding in IDMS-DB/DC exits a plus · Experience coding in native IDMS-DC, CICS or other teleprocessing monitors a plus · Experience with Logical Record Facility (LRF) · Experience with installing and maintaining IDMS software -- Thanks and Regards, Shiv Prasad, Technical Recruiter Cillium Corp 666 Plainsboro Rd Suite 211, Plainsboro NJ 08536 Direct: 609-606-2034 Fax: 609-964-1619 *shiv.pra...@cillium.com* *www.cillium.com* P* **Save trees.
