Title : Tester Location : Alpharetta GA Length : 12 Months Qualifications: QA Tester with at least 4 years of current working experience in writing test plans, scenarios, test execution and database validation. Manual testing is required; automated testing would be a plus. Friendly but direct communication style, self-directed, team player, organized with excellent follow-up, the ideal QA candidate will be able to be productive quickly in a fast paced environment. Skills: - Experience in Telecom Industry - Experience in Testing Web based Applications. Ability to create and execute manual test cases and communicate test results - Experience with Mercury Quality Center and Defect Tracking Tools is a must - Knowledge of SQL and Oracle, Unix is a Plus - Must have a good understanding of the testing life cycle. - Strong organizational and good verbal and written communication skills. Responsibilities: Tester supports the delivery of high-quality information systems by leading the effort to plan, execute, and document results of tests of new or revised system capabilities. This includes primary responsibility for determining whether new or revised system capabilities have been adequately tested for release to users in production. Determine level of testing required to validate new or revised system capabilities. Create test plans to accomplish required testing. Execute test plans. Report accurate testing status. Create test summary reports. Continuously improve test models, test data, and test processes based on lessons learned.
