We are looking for a Sr. BI / Business Analyst for an excellent contract opportunity with an exciting Columbus, Ohio group. Work with a Project Manager, onshore Technical Lead and offshore development team, this BA will interview business users and inventory subject area reporting needs (including report usage, report activity, and documenting report creation, report enhancement, decommissioning, and combination requirements). The position may require working with business sponsors on early-stage project scope, design & estimation – candidates must have proven experience translating business needs into written scope and requirements documents. This BA must have at least 2 years of Business Analyst experience. Project Requirements: • Interact with business users and colleagues to identify, define, document and prioritize reporting requirements for the Business Objects Reporting Systems initiative; • Lead and/or assist with project scoping and business process reengineering; • Act as a liaison between business subject areas and the Business Intelligence team; • Develop and maintain Business Intelligence report specifications documents for each subject area; • Support Business Intelligence report development team in developing reports, including Web Intelligence and Crystal Reports; • Assist Business Intelligence Solutions Architect in interviewing business users and inventorying subject area reporting needs. This includes report usage, report activity, and documenting report creation, report enhancement, decommissioning, and combination requirements; • Support Business Intelligence testing resources in testing reports; • Act as an advocate for Business Intelligence and associated toolsets with business users across companies. Communicate Business Intelligence reporting topics to business users and assist in preparing for, creating, and delivering report training and adoption plans. Project Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technology related field, Aviation, or equivalent work experience; • 2-4 years related work experience; • Direct hands on experience in collecting and documenting business user software system requirements; • Strong oral and written communication skills, people skills, presentation skills, facilitation skills and the ability to navigate complex organizational structures; • Ability to assess and prioritize the customers' needs and root problems; • Ability to facilitate meetings between analysts and individuals from within the business; • Ability to closely manage others' expectations, inside and outside of Technology Services; • Strong ability to balance competing needs and priorities and to stay focused on the priorities of the overall business; • Experience with reporting systems applications; • Experience with reporting systems toolsets, preferably Business Objects, including Crystal Reports. • Experience with standard software development project management processes (SDLC, waterfall, RUP, agile, etc.) and standard analysis and documentation techniques (use cases, business rules, process diagrams, etc.); • Experience in use case analysis and modeling and other industry best practices; • Experience with project proposal scoping, estimation and cost/benefit analysis; • Occasional travel (domestic or international) between operating companies may be required; and • Occasional work during non-standard hours may be required. -- Thanks & have a nice day, Suresh First Soft Solutions Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] | Phone: 732.377.3683 | Mobile: 732.688.3876 | Fax 1.866.569.6621 15 Brook Street, Somerset, New Jersey 08873| www.firstsoftsolutions.com [EMAIL PROTECTED] catch me live in Yahoo messenger..
