Title : Project Manager Location : walnut creek, CA Length : 12 Months The project manager (PM) is responsible for developing comprehensive technical project plans, which communicate the steps necessary to implement document management solutions. This position works directly with internal customers to understand their project requirements. The project manager develops and maintains good working relationships with these customers in addition to multiple departments in the IT organization, while serving as the single point of contact for the project. The project manager in this position must also implement and run their plan to a successful conclusion, orchestrating the actions of multiple departments and constraints at any one time. The PM will manage the details, while not losing site of the end goal. The project manager will incorporate a quality assurance plan for each project track and is accountable for securing all necessary commitments from task owners, while communicating regular progress updates to all parties. Core Competencies: -Will be managing technical project implementations. -Managing projects through change management boards. - Enjoy cold calling from an organization chart to find people and solutions necessary to run a successful project - Comfortable scheduling and running meetings - Able to effectively moderate style and approach to speak to various levels of management and staff - Strong presentation skills on the phone and in front of a group - Produce quality work while working independently - Express ideas and concepts accurately and succinctly in person and especially on conference calls - Exceptional written communication skills - Build positive relationships with business partners and vendors - Demonstrate creative and analytical problem solving skills -Systems Administration experience with Wintel and Unix Servers in the past.
