LOCAL PREFERED!!!!* *Job Description:* *Responsible for developing and executing formal test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications. Involved in test planning, writing test cases/scripts, and test execution. Design, write and edit test plans to ensure software functions as designed. Review system use cases and functional specifications with the appropriate business analyst.* *Identify potential problems, omissions and open issues and attend walkthroughs and attend signoff meetings. Serve as a coach and mentor to the department staff regarding how to develop and execute a test plan. Serve as a process improvement leader for the QA department. Partner with team to prepare comprehensive QA project plan, estimates as well as the implementation for phases of projects. * *Monitor the schedule of testing phases for all projects based on project specifications, scope, and coverage. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field, or equivalent work experience in similar work environment. Minimum 5 years of IT work experience. Testing background and hands on experience with test tools (TSO, File-Aid, capture/playback, Mercury Interactive). ITS software knowledge helpful. * *Deliverable: Test Cases and Test execution for ITS 10.4 DB2 Yes 1 Intermediate Within 6 Months 2 - 4 Years IMS No 1 Novice Within 1 Year 1 - 2 Years CICS Yes 1 Intermediate Within 6 Months 2 - 4 Years JCL Yes 1 Expert Within 6 Months 1 - 2 Years Mainframe Yes 1 Expert Within 6 Months 6 + Years MQ/Messaging No 1 Novice Within 1 Year 1 - 2 Years * *Additional Skills: healthcare experience preferred.
