Location:Round Rock, TX Duration: 1 year Contract PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 3+ years supporting production database systems in a 24/7/365 environment * PostgreSQL configuration and performance tuning experience * Extensive experience working with highly available enterprise database systems * Experience in high transaction rate OLTP environment * Experience working with PostgreSQL backups using PostgreSQL database dumps and transaction logs DESCRIPTION: The Postgres DBA will work closely with the account Operations team to ensure the integrity and efficiency of all production, staging, and business analytics databases, focusing on performance analysis, high availability, and data integrity. If you love databases, enjoy working on a variety of them, get a kick out of tweaking, configuring and re-configuring, building tools and automations around them and making them efficient (and fast), this could be the job for you. This is your opportunity to help build what will become one of the largest most distributed instances of Postgres in the world. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and contributing to strong cross-functional product teams.
