Looking for a very strong *Java Developer with WebObjects experience*. ** Candidates need experience utilizing *Agile development methodologies like Extreme Programming and SCRUM. * Position Summary: Client is a marketing and advertising technology services company specializing in brand management and digital media. The Software Engineer will join a collaborative, cross-disciplinary team working with cutting-edge technologies from partners such as Adobe, Quark and Apple to design, develop, evolve, and support enterprise-class web applications to design, develop, and support enterprise-class, Java-based web applications. ** Primary Duties and Responsibilities: - J2EE web application development - Advanced model-view-controller development - Object modeling and design - Involved in designing technology solutions to meet technical and business requirements - Involved with rapid prototyping of proposed solutions - Maintain technology knowledge by keeping current with industry developments and participating in workshops, seminars, and conferences ** Experience Requirements: - 2-4 years of J2EE web application development - Previous experience in a rapid development environment - Background in advertising, publishing, or printing preferred - WebObjects experience - Java 3-5yrs - MySQL and SQL server - Eclipse ** Educational Requirements: - Bachelor's degree preferred ** Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Proven ability to deliver client-facing web applications built on a J2EE platform - Mastery of J2EE development, testing, and deployment tools - Strong HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX skills - Working knowledge of Apache and MySQL - Previous experience with WebObjects, XCode, and Eclipse preferred - UNIX sys admin experience (Solaris, OS X Server) a plus - Ability to translate project requirements and prototypes into working applications - Ability to collaborate effectively with peers and clients in a deadline-driven environment - Ability to manage multiple projects and smoothly adjust to changing priorities - Exposure to rapid application development (RAD) and extreme programming (XP) development practices - Highly developed attention to detail and quality - Understanding of the software development lifecycle - Dedication to on-time delivery of innovative and elegant technology solutions - Good oral and written communication skills Thanks & Regards, Sandy Sr Technical Recruiter Global Computer Products Inc.
