Location : CA Duration : 6 months They must have 5-10 years of experience in C++, VxWorks, SNMP, and have worked on very large projects. Must be able to multi-task and work with little supervision. EMBEDDED SOFTWARE ENGINEER - Develop network equipment embedded software with a MPEG digital video Application focus - Specify, design, implement and test - packet and video based software; - Integrate and debug new SW on sophisticated communication processor system; - Study functional and other specifications and participate in planning activities by providing decompositions and scheduling estimates; - Ability to work independently in a team environment with the rest of the software, hardware and test team - Develop bootloader for handset. - Software programming and testing and using C/C++ in Embedded domain, and /or developing integration scripts (in perl or UNIX shell scripts. Skills Required: - Degree in electronics/electrical/computer engineering - 5-10 years of embedded software development experience using C/C++. VxWorks experience preferred - Experience developing one or more of: BSP/drivers, control and management software, SNMP, networking protocols, and MPEG transport stream processing - Experience with Java is a plus - Strong analytical skills - Knowledge in embedded operating systems (WinCe, Palm OS, Linux Vrtx, Vxworks, etc.. - Experience in Multimedia Systems (image and video compression), DSP or Wireless baseband an advantage. - Experience in Linux programming preferred.
