Team monitors and analyzes customer's network through the use of a client/server based application running on a SUN platform. Candidate will use the application to generate reports to assist performance team members. Candidate will be involved in the creation of UNIX, C, Excel/Access & visual basic and HTML tools to help automate the generation and presentation of reports. Candidate will be responsible for minor administration tasks, routine maintenance and upgrades to server application as well. Skills Required: Extensive scripting experience with the various UNIX tools (grep, awk, sed, etc) to support existing UNIX scripts and develop new scripts on an as needed basis. Extensive Microsoft Excel experience is required to provide data analysis (charting, pivot tables, etc) along with in depth knowledge of Visual Basic. The candidate should be able to apply the Unix & Visual Basic Skill set to automate the generation of reports. An understanding of basic UNIX administration tasks is required. Candidate must have previous development experience.
