Position: UNIX Admin Rate: $ 42/hr Duration: Long term This is a backfill and we will need a candidate ASAP. *Component Description:* The Remote Infrastructure Support Component (C01551) improves the availability, reliability, and stability of our supported IT infrastructure and applications by providing service restoration and change implementation according to the Service Level Agreements negotiated with our service receivers. This individual will join the UNIX Remote Infrastructure Support team as an ISA (Incident Support Analyst) with an emphasis on HP-UX and AIX Operating System Administration. The team is responsible for all HP-UX, AIX and LINUX servers, those responsibilities include: Roles and Responsibilities: Complex incident resolution including: identifying solution alternatives, recommending and implementing courses of action, and resolving of the incident Document solutions for future reference Communicate event trends for automation or root cause analysis and fix Work with a variety of areas including: customers, co-workers, business partners, server type owners and service providers Work closely with Incident Management and other Server Technicians Perform Hardware and Operating System incident resolution for the HP-UX, AIX and LINUX infrastructure servers Report hardware incidents to the appropriate areas and resolve such incidents while maintaining incidents ownership Track and implement changes to the HP-UX, AIX and LINUX infrastructure servers Monitor Servers for changes, performance characteristics, and availability Mentor others Load and configure HP-UX, AIX and LINUX servers Apply Issuances to servers Change Management Other duties as assigned.
