Provides in-depth technical needs analysis, advice, and technical support regarding database configuration and utilization issues. Responsible for designing database query specifications, database implementation, performance tuning administration and security. Some have *data modeling and data mining skills*. Typically engage in post-sale delivery activities, but may participate in pre-sale activities directly with customers. Works with relationship database technology in an application development environment *(Teradata, DB2, ORACLE, Informix*) and data sourcing tools (*Visual Basic, Powerbuilder *). A senior level position that typically leads engagement planning and execution of client consulting projects and helps secure new engagements.
