*Position : BA with Broadcast/Media/Entertainment experience * *Location : Midtown NYC , NY* *Duration : 6+ Months* *Interview : Phone + F2F * *Job Description* · The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for supporting all the project manager and task force through the evaluation, design and build approval of the *Linear Broadcast Global Playout Standardization and Virtualization project,* including workflow analysis, operational requirements, business analysis, business process analysis and reengineering, functional requirements, facilities impact analysis, staffing analysis, software specification and design with an emphasis on broadcast television on-air graphics workflows, network operations, network programming/ scheduling, linear broadcast engineering and virtualized computing. · There is a light project management component to this position as well. · This is a NY based international position in collaboration with European counterparts and will be scheduled accordingly. *Job Responsibilities* · Assist the Project Manager in leading the project throughout the evaluation, analysis and design leading up to the project plan/build phase · Whiteboarding, leading meetings, diagramming current and future state workflows and processes, translate business requirements to system/functional requirements · Generate final deliverables including workflows, functional requirements, process change and a detailed cost/cost-benefit, ROI and/or Relative Value analysis · Stay aware of business initiatives and address potential impacts to systems/operations (e.g. parallel projects and initiatives, new business required enhancements, etc.) *Principal Responsibilities:* · Facilitates requirements gathering/whiteboarding sessions, proactively drawing out requirements from stakeholders. · Creates workflow diagrams to document current and future business environment. · Ensures accuracy of functional requirements/specifications for handoff to development team. · Translates requirements to technical staff and reviews functional specification documents to ensure business needs will be met through designed solutions. · Performs gap analysis to identify opportunities for process improvement or management control of work flow. · Identifies and resolves problems which may impact project by monitoring progress and project status. Escalates important issues to the attention of the Project Manager so that decisions can be made promptly. · Tracks and reports on project progress against BA defined requirements throughout the project life cycle. · Assists in managing the project from original concept through a build plan. Work with project management to create and maintain project schedules, estimate time requirements, monitor milestone completion, track all phases of the project product/service lifecycle, provide timely reporting of issues that impact project progress, and coordinate tasks and actions. · Assists more senior managers in the development of RFIs/RFPs/Scorecards. · Manages and documents changes to requirements throughout the project. · Helps support all activities that are critical for making projects successful. · Reviews test plans and scripts against requirements for completeness and accuracy. *Job Requirement* · Exceptional communication skills written, presentation skills, etc. · Exceptional client handling skills able to work with all levels of staff within the business and technology groups · Proven ability to support Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) and Change Management · Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle · Light PM skills including familiarity with project scheduling /tracking documents · Ability to apply the following tools in project management tasks and high level business modeling: Workfront or comparable PPM tool; MS Suite · Possesses understanding of linear broadcast and IP based playout and distribution technologies/processes, software development methods and related tools · 4+ years in Business Analysis (CCBA, CBAP preferred) · Cost Analysis / Cost Modeling experience A MUST · 1+ years in BPR/Change Management · 1+ years in Project Management · Familiarity with all the major phases of system development 1.
