*PROJECT NAME: Voice over IP (VoIP) Initiative* *JOB TITLE: Project Director* *Location : Brooklyn NY * *Visa Status : Green Card and Citizens only * *Submit the resume with 3 professional references.* *DESCRIPTION:* VOIP: Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology will allow MIS to leverage HRA’s existing Local Area and Wide Area Networks for voice communications. HRA’s Information Technology (IT) strategic plan calls for the replacement of old, expensive to maintain analog telephony equipment with new, inexpensive to maintain digital telephony equipment in order to dramatically reduce annual telecommunication maintenance charges. In an effort to reduce costs, and still have failover capabilities, MIS plans to split the central CS2100 core between 15 MetroTech and a physically different location. In addition, MIS will continue to introduce SIP trunking technology into the VoIP networking infrastructure to reduce the need for costly PRI circuits while eliminating recurring usage charges for local and long distance calls. Tasks & Duties • Assist in managing project execution from start through completion. • Assist in managing project resource allocation. • Assist in planning and scheduling project timelines. • Assist in tracking project deliverables using appropriate tools. • Assist in providing direction and support to project team. • Assist in providing management reporting and information dissemination. • Assist in constantly monitoring and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders. • Assist in presenting reports defining project progress, problems and solutions to problems. • Assist in publishing project meeting agendas and minutes from discussions. • Assist in providing project quality assurance. • Perform other duties, as needed. • Assist in developing quality assurance metrics to measure outputs. • Assist in implementing and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
