*Position: : Oracle Development DBA (Not
Oracle Developers, Not Production DBAs)*
*Location: Herndon, VA *
*Duration 9+ month *
*Interview: Phone + F2F*
*Visas: H1B, GC, US Citizen *
· Model databases based on a logical data structure created in
conjunction with our Data Architects
· Create the physical data models
· Create tables, columns, etc. in support of Data Warehouse
initiatives, i.e., our new Enterprise Data Model
· Work alongside Java, ETL and BI developers to tune COTS and
custom SQL for performance improvements
· Create scripts to resolve data quality issues
· Use AWR reports to help troubleshoot database issues
· Handle data load and other Tier 2/3 production support issues.
* Education*
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or
related field; or equivalent education and related training
o *Experience/Skills:*
§ Database Design
§ Database Modeling
§ SQL, PL/SQL
§ SQL, PL/SQL tuning for performance
§ Requires technical and business knowledge in multiple
disciplines/processes. Typically possesses 5 to 7 years of relevant work
experience.
* Nice to have:*
· Experience in a data warehousing environment
· XML
· Exadata
