Laurel* *Duration : 12 Months (Extension Possible)* * Experience : 8 Yrs* *Mode of interview: Initial phone screening + SKYPE or WebEX* *Job Description:* As the Database Administrator for the ORACLE platform, you will provide database design solutions and services for all business areas of customer. The incumbent will: - Design, build, test, deploy and develop quality database solutions for new projects consistent with project objectives and client requirements, and following technology architecture standards - Create all database objects from design to implementation. - Design and implement DBMS solutions/processes that maximize system availability, efficiency, and security - Work with development team and 3rd party vendor regarding optimal use of database resources and features while adhering to TD standards and architecture compliance. - Work with development team throughout the development life cycle. - Administer databases and perform database tuning for performance and capacity. - Maintain backup and recovery of the database environment. Maintain database physical integrity and assist in preserving logical integrity. - Communicate status and provide timely escalation of issues and interest. - Liaise with application service owners and technical leads to ensure project and service deliverables are met. - Responsible for providing DB related technical expertise to project teams. - Work with teams to deliver solutions to clients. - Support a positive work environment that promotes customer service, quality, innovation and teamwork. - Identify performance, availability and capacity technical metrics and measurement tools - Conduct ongoing research and enhance knowledge and expertise to ensure strategies to meet current and future consumer requirements remain innovative and on time - May coach, lead and/or develop others. Works collaboratively with the ITS Application Deployment colleagues for: - Matters involving incident resolution including level 2 on-call supports. - Review/creation of overall DB solution / physical diagrams / IDS, Standards, Operational disciplines/best practices, and to detect impediments/opportunities requiring strategic thinking/planning. * Qualifications* The ideal candidate is a seasoned Oracle DBA with strong background and experience with Oracle Unix/Linux platforms in both development and production environments. Candidate must also be very knowledgeable with database structures, theories, principles and practices. - Advanced knowledge of Bank Technology standards (e.g., Infrastructure, Architecture, processes, and security). - Advanced understanding of businesses and organizational practices and disciplines (including SDLC) - Sound knowledge of industry and market trends in relation to Oracle, Unix and/or Windows - 8+ years experience with all phases of platform development in including prototyping/proof of technology, analysis, design, development deployment, testing and documentation - 8+ years working in a Oracle Unix/Linux environment - 5+ years working with Oracle Real Application Servers - 2+ years of Data Warehouse of Bid Data experience - Advance knowledge of underlying operating system and storage systems - Advance knowledge of client/server architecture. - Advanced knowledge of Query Language and Data Definition Language of supported DBMS ( SQL,XML, PL/SQL) - Advanced knowledge of utilities, tools, and techniques required to maintain databases and improve availability and performance - Advanced knowledge of Oracle Automate Storage Manager (ASM) storage options - Advanced knowledge of scripting or job control language. -- Thanks & Regards, ASHOK Technical Recruiter DVG Tech Solutions LLC.
