*Data Analyst*, 6 months to start with extensions possible. *Contract *- Data Analyst *Responsibilities*: Profile and understand large amounts of source data Review data needs of applications under development and determine the best approach for obtaining the data through requirements gathering, analysis and design Develop an understanding of the business context of the data and the business process that generated related data Analyze data to identify inconsistencies and discrepancies, research and communicate them to appropriate parties/coordinate their resolution Transform source data and facilitate the analysis of data Map sources to the target data warehouse architecture using tools within SQL Server Management Studio Design and develop E.T.L. code to extract, transform and load the source data from various formats into a SQL Server database Conduct E.T.L. performance tuning, troubleshooting, support and capacity estimation Conduct thorough testing of E.T.L. code changes to ensure quality of data loaded Provide day-to-day support and mentoring to clients who are interacting with the data Gather relevant data, analyze and report it in a meaningful manner to support management decisions around projects Work in a team environment to problem solve daily issues *Qualifications* Bachelor degree or greater, or a minimum of 4 years related professional experience Demonstrate a strong understanding of SQL and SQL Server Development (stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, SQL coding standards, indexing) Experience working in SQL Server Management Studio Experience working with other databases (MySQL, Oracle, etc) Data warehouse experience E.T.L experience Experience importing data from multiple formats (backups, flat files, Excel) Analytical and problem solving skills Experience working with a Business Intelligence (BI) environment Experience optimizing queries, views, stored procedures, and tables Experience creating SQL Server Jobs Experience with Agile *Preferred Additional Skills* Experience working with Schema-less databases, or NoSQL databases (DocumentDB is desired) Experience working with Big Data technologies (MapReduce, Hive, PIG) Experience working with Cloud Technologies (SQL Azure on Microsoft Azure is desired, Azure Data Lake would be a plus) Healthcare and/or health insurance data experience ------- Regards & Thanks *Swami* *Director* IT Pros Of Nebraska Inc.
