Has heavy hands-on coding/testing duties, and may have some supervisory duties in instructing, assigning, directing and checking the work of other Systems Analyst/Programmers. Assist in planning, organizing, and controlling technical related projects in the section. Work, as needed, with client management to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes for diverse development platforms, computing environments, software, hardware, technologies and tools. Perform as expert technical resource to development staff in all phases of the development and implementation process. Coordinate the activities of the section with the client area and other IT sections (e.g., database, telecommunications, operations, technical support). To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. *Required:* Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline with an advanced degree and at least 5 years of systems analysis and program development. t Experience with some supervisory. Management and administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in the securities industry or financial services industry. Knowledge of securities industry or financial services experience. Sound knowledge of the client area's function and systems. In-depth knowledge of system and technology alternatives. Broad knowledge of the system development life cycle (SDLC). Technical, hands-on knowledge of various high-level programming languages and program development software alternatives. Effective managerial and leadership skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong problem solving, decision-making, and analytical skills. Ability to work effectively with client and IT management and staffs. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. 10-15 years of relevant development experience is required. *Responsibilities includes:* Transformation of raw data into a consistent and coherent set of information that is suitable for BI uses. Build and support BI architecture typically includes data integration, data cleansing and the creation of data dimensions and business rules that conform to the architectural guidelines. Define structures for data warehousing or for a data federation approach that aggregates information in virtual databases instead of physical data warehouses or data marts. Analyzed the BI software suite or BI tools used within an organization supporting various types of BI applications/tool that can support reporting for ad hoc query, data mining and data visualization tools, plus online analytical processing (OLAP) software, business intelligence dashboards and performance scorecards. This type of expertise is scarce to find in offshore vendor.
