i find myself in an "interesting" situation.  we have an ORACLE University
nearby, however they do not offer courses at the advanced level that i need.
i also work for a startup that is cash strapped.  therefore, i do not get
training since any courses i find are not offered at a) reasonable prices and
b) at a reasonable location.

[and yes that applies to conferences too.]
