Here goes..........

Shortbread cookies

Ingredients:

1 pound sweet butter
1.5 cups sugar
2 egg yolks
5 cups flour


1. Cream butter until soft and smooth. Gradually beat in sugar until light 
and fluffy. beat in egg yolks.

2. Gradually add flour until thoroughly blended.

3. Knead in bowl for 1 minute.

4. Pat dough into a 9x13" pan, making it 1/2" thick

5. Score into squares with a fork.

6. Bake 20-30 minutes in a preheated 325 oven.


I've found that I have to split the cookies and bake them again until they 
are golden brown... yummy
