SQR
needs to be recompiled on your server using a 'C' complier that shipped with
your UNIX OS. You only need to do this if you are running an older
version of SQR.
Which
version of SQR you are running?

I'm trying to understand what is going on with our sqr install
when migrating Oracle from 7.3.4 to 8.1.6 (on Sun 2.6). After changing the
Oracle version we tried relinking the sqr executable in order to change the
Oracle version (sqrmake prompts for version information). The relink failed
because we don't have a c compiler on the server. What I don't understand
is why the initial install doesn't ask for a c compiler but the relink
does? Any ideas? Thanks.
