Ok i have a table range partitioned on date.
 
I have prefixed local indexes also.  so far so good.
 
I created an index, non partitioned, using simple
 
create index index_name on table(field20);
 
Is that now assumed to be a global index?
 
I can't find any docs to say one way or the other.
