I've seen very successful systems on Solaris, HP, AIX
and Sequent. I've seen disasters on Solaris, HP, AIX
and Sequent. I honestly don't think that the vendor
is (too much of) an issue (presuming you go with one
of the major ones)
That said, as the Oracle consultants always tell us,
"there is no such thing as having too much disk or too
much RAM". :-)
