Hello all, A very basic question; the background processes, smon, pmon, etc. do they have an executable name like smon* etc. or pmon* in some bin directory of oracle? Or how do they start? like eg. BMC' Patrol agent when it runs is run because there is an executable called PatrolAgent, is it the same with the background processes, and if yes where is the location of that executable? Is there a v$ synonym which has the same fields as sys.file$?
