Its supported on 8.1.7 - look on Technet. Under Downloads, 

http://otn.oracle.com/software/products/oracle8i/content.html

click on:

Oracle8i Enterprise Edition Release 3 (8.1.7.0.1) for Linux (Intel),
with OPS
