Ashraf Jan,
Create a directory within the C drive labled
"ORADATA". Then in svrmgr30, login as system, then
type:
CREATE TABLESPACE PAYROLL DATAFILE
'C:\ORADATA\PAYROL.ORA' SIZE 10M;
make sure to use the semicolon, not the /. I know it
sounds stupid, but just do it please.
Please let me know what happens. For some reason,
Oracle is having a problem writing to the FIRST block,
which indicates that something is preventing writes to
the root directory.
