Had a bit of a shock this morning. I never knew that the lsnrctl was -rwxr-x--x by default and a random unix user shut down the listener on our production database. Is there any reason not to change the privileges on this file, making it -rwxr-x---? Is there a reason it's set this way? This seems like a big security hole.
