Hi Folks,
I posted this last evening and it didn't show up
yet..so here we go again..

Duhvelopement Grp has decided and developed a program
that is inteded to create user in remote database thru
DB link.
Example.
The program/procedure exists in database A. They need
to call a procedure in Database B to
create a user in Database B. They also need to to be
able to supply username and password.
Well.....when they attempted to do that they got the
ORA error.
ORA 2064
02064, 00000, "distributed operation not supported"
// *Cause: One of the following unsupported operations
was attempted:
// 1. array execute of a remote update with a
subquery that references
//            a dblink, or
// 2. an update of a long column with bind
variable and an update of
// a second column with a subquery that
both references a dblink
// and a bind variable, or
//         3. a commit is issued in a coordinated
session from an RPC with
//            OUT parameters.
// *Action: simplify remote update statement

Now I am stuck with 'fixing' this.
Has anybody done or seen this anywhere.
ANy pointer would be welcome and appreciated.

TIA
Cheers,
RS
